LPGas is proud to announce the successful completion of an extensive renovation project for the LPG system at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. This project addressed several critical issues affecting the hotel’s operations and efficiency, providing robust solutions to ensure a stable and reliable gas supply.

Background of the Issues

Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra was experiencing significant challenges with their LPG system:

  1. Unstable Gas Pressure: The hotel kitchens and boiler were suffering from inconsistent gas pressure, affecting the efficiency and reliability of their operations.
  2. Lack of Control Over LPG Consumption: There was no effective way to monitor or control the amount of LPG being consumed or purchased, leading to inefficiencies and potential overuse.
  3. Operational Interruptions: Frequent disruptions in gas supply were caused by malfunctioning equipment, particularly outdated vaporizers.
  4. Insufficient Technical Support: The hotel lacked adequate technical support from their gas supply partner and engineering team, complicating the resolution of these issues.

LPGas Solutions

To address these challenges, LPGas implemented a comprehensive renovation plan, incorporating the following solutions:

  1. Redesigning the LPG Workflow: We restructured the LPG workflow to align with the operational needs of the hotel, ensuring a more efficient and reliable system.
  2. Installing LPG Mass Meters: To manage and control LPG consumption and purchasing, we installed advanced LPG mass meters.
  3. Digital LPG Tank Level Control: We implemented a digital tank level control system to monitor and manage the consumption across the hotel’s three LPG tank farms.
  4. Flow and Pressure Management: Precise flow and pressure rates were established to match the requirements of all hotel equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  5. Corrosion Protection: We provided corrosion protection for the LPG piping and accessories, enhancing the durability and safety of the system.

Results

The renovation project yielded significant improvements in the hotel’s LPG system:

  1. Stable Pressure and Flow Rates: The gas pressure and flow rates are now consistent with the needs of all hotel equipment, ensuring reliable and efficient operations.
  2. Real-Time Consumption Control: The hotel can now monitor real-time LPG consumption, track daily and monthly usage, and make informed decisions about their gas supply.
  3. Efficient Gas Management: With real-time tank level monitoring, the hotel can manage their gas orders more effectively, reducing the risk of supply interruptions.

Renovation Items

The project involved the installation of several key components:

  1. New Vaporizers: Two new vaporizers with a capacity of 200kg/hour were added to ensure a stable gas supply.
  2. Regulator System: A regulator system with a capacity of 250m³/hour was installed to maintain consistent gas pressure.
  3. Gas Mass Flowmeters: Flowmeters were installed at both the inlet and outlet to monitor and control gas flow accurately.
  4. Real-Time Monitoring System: A real-time gas tank level monitoring system was implemented to provide up-to-date information on gas levels.

This successful renovation project has significantly enhanced the operational efficiency and safety of the LPG system at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. LPGas remains committed to providing innovative and reliable solutions to meet the needs of our clients, ensuring their operations run smoothly and efficiently.
